This was an attempt to
4-5 peaks hike in 1 day but result only to 3 peaks/mountains day hike. Sir PJ
Castillo, Jenny and Dona joined me in this outrageous multiple mountain hike in
a day. I would like to thank Sir PJ for his determination and eagerness despite
the cramps and sleeplessness. Lesson I learned from this ultimate day hike:
Get enough sleep. 1-2 hours sleep causes me so sleepy in the entire hike. We
started our hike at exactly 0400H.
Take breakfast. I didn’t eat enough food the night before our hike. Breakfast
either. I experienced starving on our descent in Mt. Talamitam that causes me weak.
I was thinking of “food food food food” particularly halo-halo.
Mt. Batulao is optional. It was the last mountain on my first 3 peaks
day hike, this time I made it first. This mountain is relatively easy but has the
longest trail compared to Mts. Talamitam, Maculot and Manabu.
Don’t hike Mt. Talamitam on Sunny day. It was like an ice melting on a heated prying pan. In my next day hike, I prefer to hike this mountain on last or definitely at 1600H onward.

Plan for most convenient. My plan was literally feasible but not convenient but I
learned and have a better plan now.
